During the Pilot phase, the actual process is operated on a small scale to validate the concept, the new workflow and the performance metrics. Depending on the outcome of the pilot service levels, implementation plans are further refined. Upon successful completion of the pilot phase by the operation team, the process moves into production. All documents are handed over to the Operations team.
